It was taken at my mum's birthday in New Zealand , I can't believe how much my son has grown up - he is now 21!!

Not sure what they will taste like - but I am sure they won't be nearly as good as the ones from home. Beggars can't be choosers I guess.

Another Sandstorm

I arrived back to my apartment in Riyadh after having spent 10 days in Qatar and the sand inside was incredible - I could have made my own little sandpit with what I swept up.

Only to have a big sandstorm hit the next afternoon. As you walked into the main lobby areas of the hospital you could see the sand in the air.

The air was just thick with sand - you could smell it with every breath that you took (I was imagining the sand dunes in my lungs getting bigger and bigger)

We had to wear a mask and glasses home from work it was that bad.

Sand Storm

This sand storm made its way to Riyadh - I could smell the dust inside so I looked out the window and could not see the houses 200m behind me.....

Die Hard Footie Fans

As I was walking down the street I passed a bathroom shop and this caught my eye.

Its not a great picture - but the best I could do without going inside the shop
