Afternoon of Semi Normality

Today a few of us girls went to "High Tea" in the Globe Restaurant which is in the Faisaliah Building.

The next 7 photos come from this website
and you can read about the building by clicking on the link

The following photos are mine....

Inside the Globe Restaurant

From inside the Globe

Looking towards the King Faisal Hospital - its on the left of the photo, just opposite the piece of land/sand that you can see.

The viewing platform which is just underneath the Globe is 240m above the ground

Gotta love our outfits.....
we were allowed to take them off inside the restaurant

Riyadh - flat as a pancake

Looking towards the Kingdom Tower - another exclusive shopping mall. You can also walk along the sky bridge at the top.

Reflections of Riyadh on the outside of the Globe

You don't realise how condensed the city really is until you see it from up here

The departure terminal

Inside the departure terminal looking out at the runway - so close its quite amazing

On board the smallest plane ever - Koh Samui to Bangkok

My gorgeous buddha that made it straight through customs

Another Day In Paradise

Sitting on the balcony of our room watching these amazing storm clouds pass by

Thankfully they did not come this way - but it was amazing to watch

A bit of Kiwiana here in Koh Samui

Making the most of being able to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air

Street Vendor cooking pancakes - I had to have a lemon and sugar one, it brings back great childhood memories when my grandmother and my mum used to take my brother and I out for pancakes and we would always have lemon and sugar.
