Alcohol for Dinner

Tonight we went to Nimro Restaurant for dinner (located at the Dana Club)

Nicholas getting excited over a bottle of Australian wine (Hardys Shiraz equiv of $63.00 AUD) but it was free of charge for us as Nick ordered just a glass of wine and it was corked (and he complained) so we got a complimentary bottle of wine.  We have not had a glass of wine for 6 months - and man it was good.

You could get real close to the action - but this is the only place on the whole track that you can sit - and there are no TV screens so you can't see what is going on anywhere on the track.  But it was good to see - and man they go so fast.

An Evening at the Tennis

We went to the Sony Ericsson Tennis Championships to watch the world's top 8 female players - I had never been to the tennis so I was excited (needless to say I left feeling a little cross eyed) But it was a good experience.

Nicks Trip To Oman

Last week Nick went off to Muscat - Oman for the launch of the new 7 series (and left me behind to play in this sandpit!!!) Here are some photos of his trip.

This very nice car was parked at the local shopping centre and was attracting alot of attention - it was beautiful - the inside was all green leather  including the steering wheel and the handbrake.  Very Nice indeed.

A Trip to the Souq

Today  I somehow (not sure how) but managed to talk Nick into taking me to the souqs.

I remember spending alot of time in the souqs in Saudi and loved it - lots of bargains to be found and local nik naks.  (Nick loathes this sort of thing)

The architecture is real traditional middle eastern - it is lovely.

Unfortunately not many of the shops were open which means we have to go back - but I will have to give Nick some happy pills before we go!!!!

There are quite a few restaurants here also - apparently it is a nice place to be at night time - lots of entertainment.
